Case 3

This is an ultrasound of the AC joint of the shoulder, obtained during an injection for pain into the joint. The AC joint is an important bony landmark for ultrasound of the shoulder region. If you palpate the clavicle and continue out to its lateral end, that will bring you to the AC joint. Its superficial position makes it a good target for ultrasound.
