Imaging clinical correlation for the Pulmonary section of PrISM

After completion of this interactive discussion of the role of imaging in the evaluation of common respiratory complaints, participants will be able to:

1.  Recognize the typical presenting clinical features of four common respiratory conditions (Asthma, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pulmonary Embolism, and ARDS).

2.  Describe typical imaging findings of each condition, and correlate with flow-volume loops to  explain differences between them that reflect physiology.

3.  List the most appropriate imaging to order for each of these conditions, and know what resources are available to help with image selection.

4.  Describe other related conditions that may resemble or differ from the cases presented, based on differences in physiology.
